Health Information Analyst
<p><b>General Purpose</b><br>The primary purpose of your job position is to implement assigned modules of the EHR Platform <br>(PointClickCare) in all the facilities supported by PACS in accordance with current federal and state guidelines <br>as well as in accordance with the facility’s established privacy policies and procedures.</p><p><br><b>Essential Duties</b><br>• Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. The omission of <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">specific statements</span> of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.<br>• Administrative Functions<br>• Receive and follow work <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">schedule/instructions</span> from your supervisor and as outlined in our <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">established policies</span> and procedures.<br>• Assist in organizing, planning and directing the EHR-related projects in accordance with set <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">project deadlines.</span><br>• Assist the managers and directors, as required.<br>• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other PACS Support team members, as well as other departments in all the supported facilities, to assure that PCC modules are implemented timely and properly.<br>• Provide PCC Navigation training and re-training on assigned modules.<br>• Audit Assigned modules, as needed.<br>• Includes audits to support the legal team.<br>• Includes audits to support facility admission teams for compliance with proper utilization of the <br>module.<br>• Includes audits to support facility nursing teams in collaboration with the<br>• Regional Director of Clinical Services, Medical Records Auditor, and Regional RAI Specialist.<br>• Issue monthly reports covering audit results to the EHR Managers and Directors, Legal team, Clinical <br>Leadership teams and Executive team.<br>• Will consult with Regional Directors of Clinical Services, Regional RAI Specialists, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Regional Directors</span> of Therapy Services, and Legal team as appropriate.<br>• Maintain Spreadsheets on facility audit trends for deficient areas and monitors for improvement.<br>• Alert facility personnel of audit trends and schedule follow-up webinar trainings, when needed.<br>• Assist with maintaining Masterfile of all Facility leaders, main contacts and superusers.<br>• Agree not to disclose assigned user ID code and password for accessing resident/facility information <br>and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Supervisor.<br>• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">known violations</span> of such disclosure to the Supervisor.<br>• Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility’s information system.<br>• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of performing the assigned <br>duties of this position.<br>• Personnel Functions<br>• • Report known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Director of EHR Implementation.<br>• • Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established policy guidelines.</p><p></p><p><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Staff Development</span><br>• Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., OSHA, TB, <br>HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, etc.).</p><p>• Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., as approved. Safety and Sanitation<br>• Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately.</p><p> <br><b>Equipment and Supply Functions</b><br>• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.<br>• Ensure supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.<br>• Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and records, files, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday, etc.</p><p></p><p><b>Supervisory Requirements</b><br>As Medical Record Specialist, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">accountability necessary</span> for carrying out your assigned duties.<br> </p><p><b>Qualification</b><br><b>Education and/or Experience </b></p><p>• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED. <br>Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and <br>use dictation equipment. A working knowledge of medical <br>terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health <br>information, coding, indexing, etc., preferred but not <br>required. On-the-job training provided in medical record and <br>health information system procedures. Must be <br>knowledgeable of medical terminology. Be knowledgeable in <br>computers, data retrieval, input and output functions, etc...<br>Language Skills Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.<br>Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.<br>Reasoning Ability Provide accurate, detailed responses and build effective <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">working relationships.</span> Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders. <br>Detail-oriented and able to maintain confidential and private <br>personnel data.</p><p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.</p><p></p><p><b>Physical Demands</b><br>• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
