Laboratory Technician - Level 1 2nd shift M to F
About the position
Responsibilities
- Perform assay specific procedures and maintain complete records of all testing.
- Participate in investigational testing and revise or implement procedures as needed.
- Assist in planning daily work and maintain necessary stock of required equipment and supplies.
- Perform computer analysis and data entry, including using Laboratory Information Management System and Microsoft Excel.
- Participate in regulatory activities and assist in training of new staff.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate and perform microbial identification, bio-burden testing, and other microbiological assays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Medical Technology).
- Completion of eight semesters of biological science coursework, including General Biology, Microbiology, and related fields.
- A minimum of two laboratory courses and four semesters of chemistry, including General Chemistry with laboratory, Organic Chemistry, and/or Biochemistry.
- Two semesters of college-level mathematics.
Nice-to-haves
- Hazmat Endorsement
- Experience with analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatograph Systems and Spectrophotometers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
