We have a great opportunity for a National Account Manager to join our can-do and driven retail sales team. We offer a flexible, autonomous and inclusive working environment!  If you are looking for opportunities to bring your best and grow in your own way then get in touch as we would love to get to know you.  The successful candidate will develop and expand national accounts in our Retail channel to drive incremental growth and profit for Saputo USA.  The National Accounts Manager is responsible for all aspects of account management for the Costco business. The person in this role develops and executes a collaborative growth plan between Saputo and the Customer working closely with category management, marketing, revenue management, and supply chain teams.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...

  • Own Customer accounts, jointly developing annual business growth, sales, and margin plans in line with company and category goals.

  • Plan, execute, close, and follow up on negotiations in a manner that creates mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Develop strategies to drive growth and value and achieve/exceed annual volume and profit goals.

  • Manage the entire Saputo portfolio across both Saputo branded business and Customer's private labels. Articulate the strengths and capabilities of Saputo products and services relative to our competition.

  • Leverage internal and external business drivers to guide actions and decisions to achieve Saputo’s business goals. 

  • Own and deliver on accurate and timely forecasts for volume, trade spend, and profitability.  Utilize customer sales and syndicated data to uncover opportunities, track KPI performance, and provide fact-based analysis for your business.

  • Direct and monitor all aspects of trade promotions (including post-event analysis), to ensure effective investment of trade and shopper marketing funds.

  • Execute agreements to deliver on customer expectations, while maximizing business value.  Anticipate challenges that might impact the implementation of customer agreements and identify mitigation tactics to prevent them.

  • Act as a category thought leader to Customer through utilization of Customer's shopper data, IRI market data in collaboration with Saputo insights, marketing, and category management teams.  Share insights relevant to the customer or prospect in each stage of the sales cycle to advance and close sales opportunities.

  • Build strategic relationships to include joint business planning, top to top interactions and overall visibility to key Customer's partners.

  • Assist in fostering cross functional connectivity between Saputo and Customer to improve and optimize overall supply chain and operations.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customer personnel.

  • Lead all sales calls, business reviews, and develop presentations to effectively drive initiatives and growth plans for Saputo and the Customer.

  • Develop accurate annual SKU level forecasts by month based on item performance, seasonality, promotions, customer initiatives, and future opportunities.

  • Grow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunities.

  • Conduct internal and external business reviews to measure, evaluate, and present sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and highlight any risks.

  • Utilize customer sales and syndicated data to uncover opportunities, track KPI performance, and provide fact-based analysis for your business.

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Must have experience working with Costco, dairy, and private labels

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the CPG retail sales field and customer experience

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities should include: Negotiation, Presentation, Insight Selling, Product Knowledge, Sales Management, Communications (both written and verbal), Sales Analysis, Forecasting, and Sales Tracking.

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and professionalism.

  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.

  • Ability to effectively lead people, projects and processes.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Salary Range: $104,730 - $137,455

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training.
