Manual QA Engineer (Entry Level) - Remote

About the RoleSafeRide Health is seeking a Manual QA Engineer (Entry-Level) to help ensure the delivery of high-quality, life-changing software solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team delivering full-stack and back-end products that power our healthcare transportation platform. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and a passion for improving the customer experience.If you're located in the San Antonio area, you may be expected to work in-office a few days a week. Remote applicants must be based in the U.S. and may be asked to travel occasionally for team collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and understand product and feature requirements, including functional and non-functional expectationsDevelop and execute comprehensive manual test cases, including both positive and negative scenariosLog and track defects, collaborating with engineers to ensure timely resolutionConduct regression testing to confirm issue resolution and prevent new issuesCollaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to triage issues and ensure quality outcomesStay current with new testing tools, techniques, and platform updates to continuously improve testing processesAdvocate for quality across the SDLC, participating in planning and sprint ceremoniesRequired QualificationsStrong technical aptitude and problem-solving skillsProficiency in using modern web browsers and navigating web-based platformsPreferred QualificationsExperience working within Agile software development methodologiesHands-on experience testing across mobile (iOS/Android), tablet, and web interfacesFamiliarity with software product life cycles and quality assurance workflowsExposure to tools such as Postman and Chrome DevTools (Network Inspector)Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, PHP, or similarWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databasesSkills & AttributesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong defect isolation, documentation, and reproducibility techniquesHigh attention to detail and a methodical testing approachPersistence in identifying root causes of issuesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholdersStrategic thinker with tactical execution capabilityBenefitsRemote-first culture with flexible work optionsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous PTO and company holidaysPaid parental leaveProfessional development and career growth supportMission-driven, inclusive culture committed to equity in healthcareAbout SafeRide HealthSafeRide Health is a technology and services company dedicated to reducing barriers to care by improving the delivery of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) to people across America.
