What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and guide project teams on day-to-day tasks and deliverables
- Develop and manage formal project plans, including goals, resources, schedules, and risk management
- Follow project reporting and documentation standards established by the NYS ITS Project Management Office (PMO)
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, driving accountability within project teams
- Coordinate complex business requirement deliveries and facilitate organizational change activities

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 84 months of experience as a Project Manager managing 3-5 simultaneous application development projects
- Proven experience in creating and managing project budgets, schedules, and scope documents throughout the project lifecycle
- 84 months of experience using project tracking tools, such as Microsoft Project, for developing formal project schedules
- Expertise in quality planning, including quality assurance, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Experience in managing high-visibility projects with reporting responsibilities to government stakeholders

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Extensive industry experience and a proven track record of guiding large project teams
- Familiarity with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) projects and in-house project management
- Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated in previous roles
