Warehouse Shift Leader

Are you ready to apply your leadership talents in a dynamic logistics environment?
As an Assistant Supervisor, you play a key role on the work floor. You maintain oversight, lead your colleagues, and ensure that everything runs smoothly between various departments. No day is the same—and that's exactly what energizes you. You see bottlenecks as opportunities and know exactly how to bring teams together to achieve the best results.

Description

At our site in Tiel, the logistics of our FMCG department are handled, where you switch between the e-commerce side and the warehouse. As Assistant Supervisor, it is your task to ensure that the desired KPIs are achieved and that staff are deployed optimally from an operational perspective. Sometimes, a KPI may not be met—and that's okay! However, it's important that you, as Assistant Supervisor, can clearly explain to the manager or supervisor what you need or what went wrong. Together, you look for a solution and anticipate future challenges. Occasionally, you’ll step in where needed, but for 80% of the time, you lead and adjust processes before issues arise. Do you notice an area becoming busier? Then you're the one who identifies this and deploys extra staff in time to keep the workflow smooth.

  • Independently managing a shift, distributing work assignments, instructing work methods, and monitoring execution;
  • Ensuring accurate activity registration and administration;
  • Supporting the Supervisor and substituting in their absence;
  • Independently identifying, resolving, and preventing process disruptions within the warehouse;
  • Ensuring the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods in accordance with work procedures;
  • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and procedures.
