Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator

Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse distribution center! You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently load and unload materials, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise in materials handling will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service and maintaining a safe working environment.

What you’ll do

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement of materials in designated areas.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and assist with order picking processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and adhere to safety protocols established by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical function and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, while adhering to safety guidelines to prevent injury.
  • Support the overall management of warehouse operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse operations or heavy equipment operation.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient inventory tracking.
  • Experience with order picking techniques.
  • Background in construction or similar fields that require mechanical knowledge.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus.
